Editorial purpose
Renewal Ecology publishes accessible environmental explanations grounded in attributable evidence. We preserve uncertainty, regional differences and the distinction between scientific observation and editorial interpretation.
Independence and conflicts
Editorial conclusions are not sold. Any future financial relationship, sponsored material or affiliate link must be clearly labeled before the reader reaches the relevant content. Contributors must disclose interests that could reasonably affect interpretation.
Authorship
Only verified people may receive personal bylines. Institutional bylines must be labeled as such and must not imply credentials or fieldwork that did not occur.
Sources
Claims with scientific or safety implications should link to primary research, official monitoring or authoritative public guidance. Quotes, statistics and case-specific observations require a direct source.
Images and metaphor
Images must be original, licensed or public domain, with provenance recorded. The phoenix and circular recovery motif are editorial metaphors; they are not presented as scientific evidence, a historical claim or a real organism.
Updates and corrections
Material changes receive a new reviewed date. Substantive corrections are logged with the previous claim, updated wording, date and reason. Silent correction is reserved for spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs that do not change meaning.
